SoLII Scholar Spotlight - Sara Nangeroni

Sarah Nangeroni (Fall 2015, LIU Post) received her B.S. in Art Therapy with a minor in Psychology in May 2018. She curated the first three Art Therapy Undergrad Art Exhibitions at LIU Post from 2016-2018 and was also able to do multiple internships off-campus. She interned at Nassau University Medical Center's inpatient psychiatric floor, and took a social action trip to Israel where she was able to work with Holocaust survivors and at-risk youth. Since graduating magna cum laude from LIU Post's Honors College, she has been active working full-time with populations in the mental health and chemical dependency fields. This fall she is excited to be attending the American Art Therapy Association's 50th conference, and she will begin her graduate work at Springfield College to study Art Therapy and Counseling as a recipient of the Springfield College Excellence Scholarship for Graduate Study.
