Graduates of our program move into a wide range of exciting fields and can include professional employment as Executive Chef, Sous Chef, Banquet Chef, Pastry Chef, Test Kitchen Chef, Wedding Cake Specialist, Food Truck Owner, Food Scientist, Food Writer/Blogger, Teacher (college, high school or specialty shop), Club and Resort Manager, Sommelier, Contract Service Chef (college, corporations, hospitals, etc.), Restaurant Owner, Catering and Event Manager, Food and Beverage Director, Purchasing Manager, Dining Room Manager, Hotel Manager, and much more.
Many Suffolk students elect to continue their education toward a four-year degree by taking advantage of our academic partnerships and transfer agreements. A bachelor’s degree can help improve career opportunities and earning power. Students completing their associate degree program have transferred to 4-year colleges, such as SUNY Delhi, St. Joseph’s College, and Johnson & Wales.
