Transfer Credit Policy
Transfer credit for legal specialty courses, successfully completed with an earned grade of C or better at another accredited institution of higher education whose paralegal program is approved by the American Bar Association, may be awarded if the legal specialty courses are deemed equivalent by the Suffolk County Community College program director to Suffolk legal specialty courses. The Suffolk policy specifically limits the number of legal specialty credits that may be transferred into the degree or certificate program to no more than six credits. In addition, students must complete at least 30 credit hours (degree program) or 15 credit hours (certificate program) of the required course work at Suffolk.
