Students in all programs must successfully complete COL101: First Year Seminar or equivalent. See Course Descriptions for a list of equivalent courses. Students are expected to enroll in this class in their first semester. Students who have taken a college seminar course are not required to enroll in an additional one, even if it is specific to their program. The College Seminar requirement may be waived for students who complete 12 credit hours of transferable college-level work on a college campus prior to enrolling at Suffolk County Community College.
