Our Collections

The Center for Social Justice and Human Understanding: featuring the Holocaust Collection houses the largest collection of Holocaust artifacts in the region. The collection features propaganda documents the Germans used to ostracize Jewish communities, an original copy of Mein Kampf, various documents, prisoner uniforms, and over 100 original photographs. In addition, the collection includes a large collection of books about the Holocaust and World War II period.

The Center also maintains two smaller collections of artifacts- one dedicated to documenting the transatlantic slave trade and another dedicated to the life and legacy of Jackie Robinson. The slavery exhibit contains numerous objects including shackles, freeman badges, an Underground Railroad quilt, and a child's cradle.
