Statement of President Dr. Edward Bonahue Re: SUNY End of COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate

“Suffolk County Community College and our students welcome the end of the SUNY system-wide vaccine mandate.

We hope that students who hesitated to register for classes or chose online classes will now feel comfortable returning to campus to take part in and enjoy a college learning experience that was interrupted by COVID-19.  We serve our students best when they can take advantage of all the on-campus programs and resources we make available, and I’m delighted all those services are once again available to every student.

As always, the health and safety of our students and employees is paramount and we will continue to work with state and county health officials.”
