SUNY Student Assembly Gathers at Grant Campus
The Executive Committee of the SUNY Student Assembly recently met on our Michael J. Grant Campus in Brentwood. The SUNY Student Assembly holds seven meetings of its Executive Committee and two Conferences each year.
Suffolk County Community College President Dr. Shaun L. McKay welcomed the students to the Grant Campus, and led a tour of the new Learning Resource Center and campus.
"The Student Assembly appreciates the warm welcome we received from the Grant Campus student government and President McKay this weekend," said Marc J. Cohen, President of the Student Assembly. "It was great to see first-hand the incredible work being done at Suffolk Community College to put tens of thousands of students on a path to success."
“Our SUNY System very much needs the influence of this young generation of student
leaders. We need their energy, and curiosity. From what I have learned from the SUNY
Assembly Executive Committee, we are in good hands,” said Suffolk County Community
College President Dr. Shaun L McKay.
"I want to thank Marc Cohen, SUNY Student Trustee & The SUNY-Student Assembly for
hosting their executive committee meeting at Suffolk County Community College and
inviting Suffolk’s students to participate in this meeting. The students at Suffolk
appreciate your service, in representing over 600,000 students throughout the SUNY
System and our mutual goal of advocacy and success for the student body," said Suffolk
County Community College Student Trustee Jerome Bost.
