Suffolk County Community College Presents the High School Art Exhibition on the Michael J. Grant Campus December 4 – December 17, 2024
Suffolk County Community College presents the 2024 Suffolk County High School Art Exhibition in the Sagtikos Art Gallery on the Michael J. Grant Campus in Brentwood From December 4 – December 17, 2024. There will be an opening reception on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 from 5 - 7 p.m., with awards and honorable mentions presented at 6 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. All are welcome. This exhibition will feature artwork from the following participating high schools in Suffolk County: Bay Shore, Brentwood, Commack, Half Hollow Hills-East, Half Hollow Hills-West, Islip, The Knox School, Hauppauge, Bixhorn Technical and Bellport. The exhibition will include works from 9th through 12th grade students, with submissions accepted in various mediums, including painting, photography, collage, drawing, sculpture, digital art, and time-based media. Department Chairs and art teachers are working closely with their students to select the best works for submission and to complete the required submission forms. This exhibition provides a wonderful opportunity to see the creativity and artistic skills of young artists in Suffolk County! The Sagtikos Art Gallery is located in the Sagtikos Arts and Science Building, Room 150 on the Michael J. Grant Campus of Suffolk County Community College in Brentwood. Gallery Hours are: Mondays 9 am - 5 pm Admission is free. For additional information, please call (631) 851-6380.
