President McKay's ALS Ice Water Challenge, Students Pour It On!
Suffolk County Community College President Dr. Shaun L. McKay, center, in blue shirt, accepted and fulfilled an ALS Ice Water Bucket Challenge today and was joined by students and staff. And if you look closely – that’s Student Trustee Gardy Amilcar dousing Dr. McKay with a bucket of ice water! Suffolk Community College students manned the buckets.
President McKay was challenged by Suffolk County Legislator and Deputy Presiding Officer Jay Schneiderman.
In turn, President McKay challenged Suffolk County Legislator and Presiding Officer DuWayne Gregory; Noel DiGerolamo, president of the Suffolk County Policeman’s Benevolent Association; John Durso, president of the Long Island Federation of Labor; and Dick O’Kane, longtime business manager, executive secretary and treasurer of Ironworkers Local 361, and head the Building and Construction Trades Council of Nassau and Suffolk Counties, to take the ALS Ice Water Challenge!
