Nimbus

Nimbus Dance presents Samuel Pott’s Esther, an edgy retelling of the Old Testament tale about gender, power, and seduction. They also perform the seminal work Memo, a piece that weaves together Nimbus’ acclaimed dancers and a cast of performers drawn from the community surrounding Suffolk County Community College. Set to evocative music, Memo conjures a world of memories, both personal and collective.

Titus has returned from a brutal 10-year war having lost 21 sons in battle. Betrayed by his nation, and with his family in pieces, a series of bloody events follow as he and Tamora, Queen of the Goths, begin a violent cycle of revenge. Mutilation and murder are the gruesome tools in Shakespeare’s bloodiest play.

This production is NOT suitable for children. Titus Andronicus contains scenes of graphic violence that may offend some audience members. Viewer discretion is advised.
