As the only provider of certificate and degree programs in HVAC Technology on Long
Island, SUNY Suffolk is now offering a non-credit course that will prepare students
for the rapidly growing field of high-efficiency heat pump installation. The course
will be provided at NO CHARGE. SOME EXPERIENCE in the HVAC industry is preferred but
not necessary. During the training, students will:
Receive a SUNY Suffolk Completion Certificate in Heat Pump Inverter Technology.
Gain the opportunity to earn seven SUNY Suffolk college credits through real-world
work experience and progressive exams. Credits may then be used toward a one-year
certificate or a two-year degree.
Be prepared to sit for certification exams accredited through the ESCO Institute.
Classes run Sept. 12 - Dec. 19, 2026, on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
