Addiction Studies Counselors provide therapy and treatment for those in recovery from substance use disorders and work in a variety of settings, including outpatient and inpatient clinics. This skill is also in demand for practitioners in related health fields such as nursing, social work, and some areas of education.
Students will develop the skills, knowledge and competencies required to become bakers, pastry cooks or pastry chefs in bakeries, hotels, restaurants, specialty cake sales, catering companies, and other establishments.
This two-semester program is designed for people who already hold postsecondary degrees, for those who are currently employed in the industry and who would benefit from some specialized training, and for those who are interested in acquiring baking and pastry-making skills but who are not interested in pursuing an academic degree in the field.

This program prepares students to work under the direct supervision of a licensed physical therapist (PT). The PTA assists the PT in providing physical therapy services to individuals with changes in physical function and health status resulting from injury, disease, or other causes, and/or providing prevention services to promote health, wellness, and fitness. A surgical technologist works to ensure that the operating room environment is safe, that equipment functions properly, and that the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety. Surgical Technologists are eligible for employment in hospital operating rooms, labor and delivery suites, freestanding surgery centers, and physician offices.

Students study topics from a broad spectrum of course offerings, and participate in a variety of roles in departmental productions. Students will be prepared for further study in the field, and for careers requiring presence, practice, and the rigors of professional self-presentation and discipline.
Students in the Technical Theatre Sequence receive rigorous and specialized training in the disciplines of scenic construction, lighting technology, costume construction, and scenic painting and properties. In addition to enriching courses, students have the opportunity to pursue advanced instruction with individualized mentorship in design and other leadership positions. Students will be prepared for further training in B.A. and B.F.A. programs and, in some cases, employment in the field.
This program is designed for individuals interested in working with animals either as technicians or as members of a scientific community. Practical “hands-on” experience is achieved through internships with affiliated veterinary clinics and instruction in the college’s small and large animal care facilities. Average salary is $44,454.
This program provides a broad studio arts foundation with exposure to drawing and design and opportunities to explore painting, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking, photography and computer art. Courses in art history are also integrated into the program.
