Through this partnership, hourly-wage Amazon employees have an amazing opportunity
to start or continue their education at SUNY Suffolk.
What’s more, Amazon Career Choice will pre-pay for part or all the tuition! As a Suffolk
student, you’ll be able to choose from a broad range of programs that are taught by
professors and instructors who truly care about your success. You can select classes
that are in-person, online or a mix of both.

How to Apply
STEP 1 Apply to Suffolk County Community College
New students should apply online to Suffolk County Community College at sunysuffolk.edu/apply. You must apply and be accepted into your program at least two (2) weeks before the
start of the semester.

STEP 2 Register for Classes
Once you have been accepted to Suffolk, register for your classes.
STEP 3 Request Funding from Amazon
Once you have been registered for classes at Suffolk, go to your Amazon Career Choice
portal at AmazonCareerChoice.com. Once logged in, select the College track and select Suffolk County Community College (SUNY Suffolk) as your school. Follow the instructions to submit a Payment Request.

What is Career Choice?
Career Choice is an educational benefit at Amazon which empowers employees to learn
new skills for career success at Amazon or elsewhere.
When are employees eligible for Career Choice?
Amazon hourly employees who have been employed full-time or part-time for 90 days
are eligible to participate in Career Choice. Amazon pre-pays tuition and required
school fees, and employees can request reimbursement for required textbooks.
What programs does Career Choice cover?
Career Choice provides broad educational opportunities that support employees in career
success, whether that is at Amazon, or elsewhere. Through this program, students can
take credit-bearing courses that lead to undergraduate certificates, Associate degrees,
or Bachelor's degrees.
For these academic programs, Amazon pre-pays tuition and required school fees, and
employees can request reimbursement for required textbooks.
Are Non-credit courses covered by Career Choice?
Non-credit courses are not covered by Career Choice.
How much does the Career Choice benefit cover?
Full-time Amazon employees are eligible for a maximum benefit of $5,250 (part-time
$2,625) per calendar year with no limit to the number of years you can utilize the
benefit as long as you're employed by Amazon.
Will Career Choice cover a repeat course by an individual?
No, Career Choice will only pay for a course once.
