Congratulations to our 2020 graduates!

We are so proud of our students as they complete their SUNY Suffolk experience and graduate from our exceptional college.

As a result of the current health crisis, our 2020 Commencement Ceremony has been postponed. However, we realize the importance of this milestone and we do not want this achievement to go unrecognized during the time when we would normally host this celebration. This site is dedicated to celebrating our entire 2020 class and we look forward to rescheduling this event when we are allowed to safely gather together.

Be sure to click on the message from Interim President Louis Petrizzo, in order to view a photographic student retrospective for 2020.

Once again, congratulations to Suffolk's class of 2020. Go Sharks!

Sharknation Ovation Celebration Box

To celebrate our Class of 2020, the College will be delivering a surprise SUNY Suffolk celebration box to our graduates. It will be delivered to your preferred home address - the same address where you requested that we send your diploma.

Students who meet the eligibility requirements as December, May or August graduates, who have submitted their graduation application, and who successfully completed their associate degree or a one-year certificate program of study, will receive a celebration box.

A Suffolk diploma is a testament to hard work and represents an accomplishment of an important educational goal. We are proud of your success and send our sincere congratulations!

Alma Mater music sheet

Listen to Our Alma Mater

An alma mater is written to provide a musical identity for an institution. Suffolk County Community College's alma mater was written during the College's early years by faculty member (ret.) Anthony R. Martone.

Unfortunately, over time, the original music was lost and the alma mater laid dormant. When the words were rediscovered, Dr. Richard Wright, Academic Chair and Associate Professor of Music on the Ammerman Campus, volunteered to compose new music.
