This scholarship can be used to cover:
- Tuition and fees
Other benefits include:
- Attending special workshops and seminars on personal and academic topics
- Meeting periodically with the College president
- The opportunity to participate in life skills training and life/career mapping
College Expectations of the Scholars
Recipients of the Get There From Here Scholarship must commit to the following:
- File an annual FAFSA
- Attend a pre-fall-semester orientation
- Sign a Student Scholarship Contract
- Remain continuously enrolled at the College and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Volunteer for 10 hours of community service per semester at an approved agency/non-profit organization
- Attend workshops and seminars on personal and academic topics
- Publicly represent the Foundation and/or the College’s student body when asked to do so
- Participate in at least six service learning events during the academic year.
- Meet periodically with College administrators
- Meet periodically with the coordinator of the Get There From Here Scholarship Program
- Provide necessary information for the College’s use in statistical tracking before and after graduation/transfer
- If necessary, access academic tutoring services and specialized advising/counseling
