Lanette A. Raymond, PhD

Lanette Raymond is a grant writer, trained as a social and health psychologist with an emphasis in research methods and statistics. She received her BA from California State University at Northridge, and her MA and PhD from Stony Brook University. Her research in psychology has focused on experimental and quasi-experimental studies of format-response effects and social desirability in survey-dependent research, meta-analysis and the extension of meta-analytic techniques to integrate efficacy and effectiveness studies in emerging healthcare technologies, and validity and reliability of assessment/evaluation studies in higher education settings. Lanette came to the Office of Grants Development in 2015 following 15 years in Institutional Effectiveness at Suffolk, during which she received the Governance Award for Academic Excellence and Service.

Specialties include: grant writing, project management, univariate and multivariate statistical procedures; causal modeling; psychometric theory and procedures; assessment and evaluation in higher education; research design; experimental, quasi-experimental, meta-analytic, evaluation, and survey research techniques; database management; and data presentation.
