Below is a typical schedule for infants:

 7:30-9:00

Planning /preparation time: Review the plans for the day. Conduct health and safety checks. Refill bathroom and diaper changing supplies. Make bleach solution. Set out materials for children to use as they arrive. Think about individual children and any special needs.

Hellos and good-byes: As children transition from home to school, greet each child and help them say good-bye to parents.

Dressing: Help children take off and store their outerwear.

Diapering: Check diapers and change as necessary.
 9:00-9:30 Eating and mealtimes: Help children wash hands and eat breakfast. Sit with children and enjoy breakfast together.
9:30-10:45 Indoor Play: Guide children in selecting what they want to play with and how. Observe and interact with children to extend play and learning. Find time to read to children individually or in a small group.

Cleanup: Aid the children to put materials away.
10:45-11:30 Dressing: Help children put on outerwear before heading outdoors.

Outdoor play: Supervise and interact with children as they explore the playground environment and equipment. Roll balls back and forth, blow bubbles, paint with water, make natural discoveries, and so on.
12:30-2:30 Sleeping and nap times: Help children relax so they can fall asleep. Supervise napping infants and provide quiet activities for children who do not sleep. Adjust length of nap time to suit the group pattern and the needs of individual children.
2:30-4:00 Free play.
