Nine Suffolk Students Recognized for Extraordinary Academic and Leadership Achievement

Nine Suffolk County Community College students have been honored for their academic achievements by three prestigious organizations that recognize academic achievement, excellence and leadership. Several of the students have earned multiple awards.

Suffolk County Community College's Joseph Gonzalez Named New York State's 2024 New Century Transfer Scholar and Recipient of the Prestigious David R. Pierce Scholarship

Suffolk County Community College's Joseph Gonzalez has been named New York State's 2024 New Century Transfer Scholar. Over 2,200 students from more than 1,300 college campuses nationwide were nominated. Only one New Century Transfer Scholar is selected from each state. He will receive a $2,250 scholarship.

Suffolk County Community College Presents the Eastern Campus Student Fine Arts Exhibit From April 17 - May 7, 2024

The Lyceum Gallery, located in the Montaukett Learning Resource Center on the Eastern Campus of Suffolk County Community College in Riverhead, will present the Eastern Campus Student Fine Arts Exhibit from April 17 - May 7, 2024. An opening reception will be held on Thursday, April 25 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. All are welcome.

Suffolk County Community College Holds Annual STEM Day

Suffolk County Community College's libraries and STEM departments recently held an annual STEM Day on each of its three campuses. The college's STEM Day is now in its ninth successful year.

Flecker Gallery Holds Ammerman Campus Student Art Exhibition in Selden April 11 - May 13

The Flecker Gallery on the Ammerman Campus of Suffolk County Community College will hold the 2024 Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition from April 11- May 13, 2024. There will be a reception and announcement of awards and scholarships on May 2 at the gallery located on the second floor of the Southampton building at 3 p.m.
